One file fills the left pane, the next fills the right. Finder or launch arguments work too.
Encodings kept intact
UTF-8, Shift_JIS, EUC-JP and more are detected on open and preserved on save.
TauDiff never contacts a server. The files you compare stay on your computer.

No. Comparison and editing are local.
Is there a Windows version?
Not yet. A Windows build is planned.
How large a file can I open?
Files over 10 MB show a confirmation first.
